Rahu and Ketu in ancient Scriptures
This article is founded on Shiv Raj Sharma's study of Rahu. It contains examples of both the positive and beneficial aspects of Rahu, as well as its well-known negative and destructive side. All planets are thought to participate in the three principles of creation (the Brahma principle), preservation (the Vishnu principle), and destruction (the Shiva principle) (the Rudra principle). Unless all three aspects of a planet in a horoscope are fully understood, the interpretation of the horoscope will be imbalanced.
This method ensures that the negative aspects of a horoscope are not constantly highlighted. Always look for the bright spot. What is true in human life must also be valid in a horoscope.
Example Horoscope of Shri K.N.Rao
In the Major period of Saturn and the Subperiod of Rahu, he achieved international fame.
- Rahu is in a Kendra from Saturn, which is in Jupiter's Rashi.
- Rahu is influenced by Jupiter and Mercury, two exalted planets.
- Finally, Rahu is aspected by Jupiter in the sixth house from both the Lagna and the Moon, which is known as Astalakshmi yoga (the eightfold blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of fortune and prosperity).
- For the first time in the Corporation's history, he successfully delivered four surplus budgets while also achieving worldwide recognition as an astrologer, speaker, and author.

Prayer to Rahu
Oriental experts in both India and the West are unaware that Stotras, or Sanskrit hymns, songs, stanzas, or poetical creations, provide vital astrological indications concerning the planets. Here is a beautiful, well-known poem on Rahu, complete with English transliteration and explanation.

The Aspects of Rahu
Rahu's aspects have long been a source of contention. Many authors believe that because it is a shadowy planet, it cannot have any aspects. However, many others utilize Rahu's aspects to make forecasts. Various authors describe Rahu in the following ways:
1. According to some, the fifth, seventh, ninth, and second.
2. According to some, the fifth and seventh.
3. Others only take the fifth, seventh, and twelfth.
Propitiation or Rahu's Shanti

Opinion of Mansagari about Rahu
First house | In general, it does not provide good outcomes, but it does provide the bravery to tackle any task. Has bloodshot eyes and a violent disposition. It has been noticed that Rahu's streaks of unorthodoxy enable bravery to be a nonconformist. |
---|---|
Second house | Good for financial purposes but not for other objectives. One might reside in the homes of individuals of different racial, ethnic, or caste backgrounds (the term "low caste" is a clumsy translation in the modern context). A tendency toward thievery and meat consumption. Note: The term "low caste" used in the translation should be broadened. Rahu in the second house has been reported to provide an irregular, never-constant supply of money. |
Third house | Promotes happiness, which is excellent for heroism, although siblings may die rather than survive. Note 1: This has been seen. Rahu in the third house makes one the youngest or eldest of siblings, or of the same sex. (See some examples.) Note 2: If Rahu is in the third house with other planets, this rule does not apply. |
Fourth house | This is generally bad. Some fascinating predictive insights are provided here: a) The native may dwell in a residence built away from one's native land. Nowadays, it will be in a residence far from one's birthplace. b) Rahu, together with another malefic, may reside in a distant land. c) Only one daughter is possible. It should be noted that Rahu in the fourth house has been known to give birth to at least one girl. d) His wife might be slim. (A weird principle that must be observed.) |
Fifth house | That's not good. a) Rahu and Moon indicate the death of a son shortly after birth. It is important to note that a kid may not die, but rather suffer from an incurable condition. b) He may become the owner of someone else's home. c) Only one son may survive, and he may be disabled. |
Sixth house | Good. Enemies are destroyed. Note: A person with Rahu in the 6th house will almost always have opponents who will be defeated. |
Seventh house | This is not good. Loss of riches, adulterous affairs, if several planets, his spouse will be angry and unruly. NOTE 1: Jupiter's aspect on such Rahu ensures a happy marriage. NOTE 2: Rahu in the seventh house is a well-known indicator of an unconventional marriage, unorthodox romance, or adulterous connection. However, it should not be overstated because it frequently provides business partners of diverse ethnic or national backgrounds. |
Eighth house | Only useful in money concerns; otherwise, unfavorable. The thieving inclination is defamed and widely condemned. It can disrupt married life, provide an esoteric experience, and cause some problems in the area between the thighs. |
Nineth house | Is awful. Unlucky, quarrelsome, and fearful of foes. It has been discovered to be harmful. It encourages some unconventionality and invariably provides overseas travel, especially if in Cancer. Such journeys begin early in life in the chara rashis, late in the sthira rashis, and spasmodically in the dwiswabhava rashis. |
Tenth house | Good, yet it makes a person sensual, unlucky, take initiative, engage in some spiritual contemplation, fickle-minded, and harsh. Note: When malefic aspect it, then might become quite egotistical. It should be noted that if left unaspected, it might result in strong missionary impulses. People with Rahu in the 10th house should be cautious about their work if the 10th lord is unhappy. One such person, with the weakened 10th lord and Rahu in the 10th house aspected by Saturn, was found stealing money. He was about to be fired, but he escaped by quitting early. Our observations show that those with Rahu in the 10th house have more sons. |
Eleventh house | Is good. (a) Is skilled in the use of weapons. Note: In modem times it can apply to surgeons and doctors. (b) The native is beautiful and kind-hearted. Note: Beauty should be seen with reference to other factors. Kindheartedness should be examined along with the happy condition of the fourth house and its lord. (c) Lives in a foreign country. Note: Lives in a place away from the birthplace. (d) May not have a son or happiness from a son Note: It is the 8th house from the 5th house. It applies to the first child, it has been observed. A son born after does not suffer. (e) Can be the eldest or youngest of siblings or in its own sex. |
Twelfth house | Not favorable. a) Religion, money, and wife desert him. Note: It is an extreme statement. b) There is a defect in the nails. Note: Here the 12th house and Rahu have been used for nails which can be a valuable piece of research for medical astrology. c) Lives in a foreign country. Note: Away from the place of one's birth as in the case of Rahu in the 4th house seems very certain. |
