Bhavarth Ratnakar is a dissertation on Astrological sutras by
Sri Ramanujacharya and it represents the subject in a detailed manner. This
book has been translated by B.V. Raman a great scholar of astrology. The book
has been provided with the translation of sutras and many examples by
B.V.Raman. Readers are advised to go through the book as it can quench the
thirst of many people curious about astrology. Some of the real astrological
secrets lay hidden in the Sanskrit literature only which requires a lot of
expertise. Dr. B.V.Raman has done a great job in the translation of these
scriptures from the Sanskrit language to English. The explanations given in the book
provide enough clarity for the readers as the principles of astrology are couched
in symbolic language and one not familiar with these technicalities would only
get confused.
The book is divided into 14 Chapters and the total number of
stanzas are 384 with the first chapter which is the largest having 130 stanzas and
the 5th chapter is the smallest containing only 8 stanzas.
