What is Dasamsa Chart?

According to Sage Parasara, this chart defines “Mahat Phalam.” Mahat (huge) Phalam (fruits) - events with great importance are suggested by the second, sixth, and tenth bhavas: the outcome indicating the native's position and status in society as a consequence of the interplay of destiny and action.

Dasamsa chart computation

Each sign is made up of ten equal portions.
If the sign is odd, then ten portions of the sign are incorporated into the ten successive signs beginning with the sign itself.
If the sign is even, then ten parts of the sign are divided into ten successive signs beginning with the ninth sign from the sign in question.
For instance:
a) Odd sign numbering: Calculation begins with the sign itself - the ten sections of Leo are divided into signs ranging from Leo to Taurus.
b) Even sign numbering: Calculation begins with the ninth sign - the ten sections of Scorpio are divided into signs ranging from Cancer to Aries.

The Dasamsa chart will describe the causes of delays and transient frustration in the workplace. Dasamsa Lagna represents renown in relation to profession, while Lagnesh represents attitude and intention in service. D-10 depicts one's personal practices and other social activities related to passions and desires. The tenth house in the Rasi chart is also relevant for evaluating the profession as it represents the native's material Karma (actions). The power and positioning of the 10th Rasi lord in D-10 is a vital consideration to consider when assessing a profession. If the 10th Lord is in one's own sign, exaltation sign, quadrant, or trine in D-10, one would have a prosperous career.

Rules for Good Profession

1. If Dasamsa Lagna is aspected by benefic and becomes powerful, it is fair to conclude that the native's career is on a solid foundation.

2. If the strong Sun is located in Upachaya houses aspected by Jupiter, the native is likely to gain prosperity and prominence in his or her profession.

3. If a Dasa lord is powerful in the Lagna chart and poised to deliver good results, but lacks sufficient strength in the Dasamsa, such a Dasa lord can cause confusion during crucial sub-periods. A Sub-Dasa lord who is unfavourably positioned in Dasamsa from Dasa lord and is afflicted with malefic may also briefly stall expected performance.

4. Planets in the tenth house of Dasamsa during their governing times will boost one's job chances.

5. If in Dasamsa there is no planet in the tenth house, the lord would give honour to the native during her ruling era.

6. Even in terms of occupation, planets that appear as tenth house lords in Dasamsa should be seen as powerful.

7. The planetary time in Dasamsa's Kendra will be a mile for his career.

8. Status and career smoothness with several revenue sources: In D/10 Chart 10th lord should be powerful.

9. A powerful Lagna of D-10 in a D-10 chart ensures a career or vocation.

10. A good 10th house and 10th lord in the D-10 chart implies that the native is a specialist in his profession.

11. A bright Sun in angles confers: a) well rank, b) a well-paying government position, c) managerial strength, d) foresight and e) power.

If one's houses and lords are powerful and well-placed, one would have good fortune in that line of work. A job or company linked to a powerful Graha (Aastha) will bring you prosperity and wealth. Debilitated Planets can bring talent and resources, but they can also bring a lot of tension.
