Introduction
Magalika dosha is a defect in the person's energy processing system. Mars (Mangala) signifies Agni tattva, and when this is faulty, the energy is misdirected, resulting in a catastrophic waste of resources and time, as well as a great deal of anguish and agony.
When Mars (Mangala) is situated in particular houses in the horoscope, it creates an astrological combination known as Magalika Dosha. The 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, and 12th bhava are the five houses for magalika dosha, according to ancient seers. Some astrologers include the Lagna as well, while others include the Lagna but leave off the second bhava.
The ancient sages eschewed the Lagna since it was said that any planet positioned in the Lagna would eventually become beneficial since the Lagna is the abode of the praise-worthy one.
If we are to laud Mars while it is in the Lagna, how can we do so if it is also causing Mangalika dosh? A counter-argument would be that Saturn in Lagna is exceedingly inauspicious, and the particular circumstance of Marana karaka sthana is a counter-argument to that.
Saturn in Lagna is inauspicious since it is in Marana karaka sthana, and this does not apply to any other planet. In reality, Saturn is the sole planet that offers excellent outcomes when it is weak and may inflict considerable sorrow when it is powerful, and all of the miseries indicated by it will be completely realised in one's lifetime.
Different viewpoints
Furthermore, depending on your point of view, these houses are divided into two or three groups:
1. The trine for happiness or peace (4th, 8th and 12th) becomes disorderly which results in irritation, agitation and conflict in the presence of Mars in it. The Srimanta Bhava which is the 2nd and the7th house is owned by Venus which represents Jala tattwa and in the presence of Agni tattwa like Mars, it gets destroyed.
2. Chaturasra of the fourth and eighth bhava, which are the pillars of home and health, and Mars positioned in these houses might ruin assets and force a person to travel like a wanderer.
Subha (auspicious) yoga of the 2nd and 12th houses becomes Asubha (inauspicious) yoga with Mars in these houses, and the benefits of a clean intelligence are lost to the terrible disputes in relationships in career and family.
Marana karaka sthana of Mars is the 7th bhava, where destiny brings many battles to your door instead of love and enjoyments of this bhurloka (earth plane).
Results
When Mars is in the second, fourth, seventh, eighth, or twelfth bhava, the native experiences Mangalika dosha, which may make life on Earth feel like a prison sentence. The native feels imprisoned in situations relating to the bhava in question, which has an influence on personal life because the inclination is to blame one's loved ones for all of life's ills. As a result of this mentality, the spouse suffers much as well, and the couple is separated by divorce, death, or desertion.
Please keep in mind that the Mangalika dosha for the Moon sign differs somewhat. It consists of the 1st, 7th, 4th, 8th, and 12th houses, with the 2nd house being replaced by the 1st. Planets in the 2nd bhava from the Moon are regarded as auspicious because they bring good prosperity, but the Moon-Mars Sasi-Mangala yoga is a Rudra yoga that causes much trouble in personal life and leads to adultery. Natives of this type have a variety of relationships.
