Birth time rectification is a very important concept of astrology and must be done properly to achieve the exact time of the birth of the native. When a child first takes his first breath, that time should be noted. There are some controversies about whether we should take the time of the first breath or the time when the child is first separated from his mother as the correct birth time of the child. To keep things simple we are considering the time when the child takes his first breath as the time of birth.
Every planet has 4 co-lords. The first is the lord of the sign, in which it is placed; the second is the lord of the star in which it is placed; the third is the sub lord of that planet; the fourth is the Sub-Sub lord of that planet.
1. The first method is to check whether the Ascendant Sub-Sub lord is making any connection with the Moon Star-lord.
The connection can be in the following ways:-
a) Both the Ascendant Sub-Sub lord and the Moon Star-lord is owned by the same planet.
b) If the Ascendant Sub-Sub lord is placed in the Moon Star lord's star or in the Sub of the Moon Star-lord or in the Sub-Sub of the Moon's Star-lord.
Example: Let's say Moon is present in Jupiter's star.
Jupiter own Punarvasu, Vishakha and Purba Bhadrapada.
Now let us consider Mercury to be the Ascendant Sub-Sub lord. Now if Mercury is present in the Star of Jupiter or Sub of Jupiter or Sub-Sub of Jupiter then we can say that there is a connection between Mercury and Jupiter.
c) Take the Moon Star's lord and see in which Star, in which Sub, and in which Sub-Sub it placed then we can keep those planets as the Sub-Sub lord of the Ascendant.
2. The second step in this process is to find the genetic links in our birth chart.
- The third house signifies younger co-borns
- 4th house signifies your mother.
- 5th house signifies your first child.
- 7th house is your second child.
- 9th house is your father.
If you have a brother or sister immediately before or after your birth then note down his or her Moon Star-lord and check if there is any connection between that planet and the 11th house Sub Sub lord.
